Instrument Training

Getting your instrument rating is one of the best things you can do to improve your skill as a pilot. Having your rating often allows you to complete a flight that otherwise would be delayed or canceled due to weather. The statistics show that getting your instrument rating makes you a much safer pilot.

Students training with us are encouraged to complete an instrument ground school. Flying with us gives you access to our video and magazine library, and your instrument training can be facilitated through the use of our PC flight simulator or our full flight deck flight simulator.

We have a Cessna 150, two Cessna 172s, and a retractable-gear Cessna R182 which can be used for your instrument rating or advanced certificates.

Bode Aviation hosts a LaserGrade Testing facility for any of your FAA written exams.

Each student’s progress is monitored by their instructor as well as the Chief Flight Instructor to ensure efficient and cost-effective raining. Phase evaluations are given by the Chief Flight Instructor before solo and the FAA checkride.
