Private
Pilot Certificate
Where do
I start? Whether your goal is to fly for fun or a
career, getting your private pilot certificate is the
first step. And the key to success is finding a
safe, competent and professional instructor, since this
is the person who will provide your introduction to
aviation and help you form good flying habits that last
throughout your career. How will I learn the information I need to know? Many students learn best in a structured environment with a clearly defined syllabus and a low student-teacher ratio. Bode Aviation offers classroom-based ground schools on a regular basis. What
airports will I use? Flight operations are based at Albuquerque
International Airport, Albuquerque
Double Eagle II Airport and Farmington Four Corners Regional Airport. The Commercial airspace at
Albuquerque International Sunport allows students to hear and practice radio
communications from the first flight while the uncrowded
airspace around Double Eagle II and Four Corners Regional Airport is ideal for practicing
flight maneuvers, takeoffs and landings. What
airplane will I fly? We have a Cessna 150, five Cessna 172s and a
Diamond Eclipse DA-20 for private
pilot training. Add a Rating! Contact us today to learn how to add a Airplane (SEL) category rating to your existing Hot Air, Glider or Rotor certificate. How will
I know I'm advancing? Each student's progress is
monitored by their instructor as well as the Chief Flight
Instructor to ensure efficient and cost-effective
training. Progress checks are given by the Chief
Flight Instructor or other qualified check pilots before
the student's solo and the FAA checkride. Where can I get more information about learning to fly? View the Cessna Learn-To-Fly website and also what Bode can offer you as a Cessna Pilot Center.
