Discover the spirit of aviation

For thousands of years, humans have looked to the skies longing to experience the thrill of flight. We live in an age where technology and human progress have finally made it possible! Come discover the adventure and discipline of flight from the safety focused instructors at Bode Aviation’s flight school today!

Welcome to the Bode Academy of Aviation:

With over 360 days of training weather a year, a staff of proven aviation professionals (with over 20,000 hours of flight, and decades of combined flight training experience) and exceptional local training areas, Bode Academy of Aviation is the premier aviation training venue in the Southwest.

Bode Academy of Aviation is one of only two Flight Schools in the state that meets the higher FAA Part 141 requirements for flight training, and is the only Fixed-wing Flight School in the State that meets VA training provider requirements – allowing US Military Veterans to use their GI Bill for advanced flight training.

Recognized as a Cessna Pilot Center (CPC), Bode Academy of Aviation uses the fully integrated Cessna/King on-line training program and syllabus for our ground school training. You can fully complete your ground training at home, on the road – anywhere!

With our FAA approved Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), we can save you significant time and expense as you work towards your ratings – up to 40% of your training hours can be credited in our AATD for the Instrument rating (other ratings have different AATD allowances). With three-degrees of motion, 2800 of 4K visuals, 24/7 availability, the ability to emulate over 34 aircraft (C152 through turbine, multi-engine King Airs), conventional avionics and G1000, our AATD allows us to not only accelerate your training but provides a more efficient training experience.

Flying The Rockies

We are based out of Albuquerque New Mexico. Learning to fly here has the unique advantages over many other regions as we are at high altitude and are surrounded by the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. Mountain flying presents many challenges that are best addressed with an experienced and knowledgeable instructor to help you remain safe while discovering all the beauty and romance of the world that aviation offers you. We are fortunate to boast that on an average over 300 days of the year in Albuquerque are full of blue skies and are conducive to great flying. With less days on the ground, you have more time to advance your skills and become a great pilot.
